DACC is about sharing the Art of Cheesemaking, educating visitors about how great cheeses are created and sharing stories of our Cheese Industry in Wisconsin.
Under the leadership of Wisconsin Master Cheesemaker Mike Brennenstuhl, Door Artisan Cheese produces both traditional Wisconsin cheeses and original-recipe creations.
Door Artisan Cheese is a proud winner at the 2018 World Championship of Cheese contest. Cheesemaker Darrel Demeter took home the Gold for his Top Hat Cheddar in the Natural Rinded Cheddar category. Cheesemaker Jim Demeter took home the Bronze for his Crema Pressato in the fresh Asiago category.
Every other Friday and Saturday the factory is generally in full operation in the morning.Taste our award winning cheeses and see cheesemaking in action through a large viewing window. Feel free to ask questions to the cheesemakers wearing microphones. Tours of the aging caves available.
